Scope of Service Experience

Anthony Cassano has close to twenty years experience in the real estate business. He has extensive experience in commercial office and retail leasing. He worked with a number of New Jersey's current and former financial institutions (Fleet Bank, Valley National Bank, Interchange Bank, First Union, Bridgeview Bank, Boiling Springs Bank, Lakeland Bank, Columbia Bank).

Background & Experience

Represented Fleet Bank as part of a team who successfully disposed of more than fourteen surplus bank properties (both owned properties and existing leaseholds) with a dollar value in excess of $24,000,000.

Represented owners and tenants of office and retail properties in New Jersey for more than fifteen years. He has extensive experience in lease negotiations from both a landlord and tenant perspective, with a strong concentration of lease and sale transactions in the Fort Lee/Englewood Cliffs area.

Mr. Cassano is also a former Bergen County Freeholder from 1990 to 2002. He served as Chairman of the Board for three years. During his tenure on the Board, he was Chairman of the Law and Public Safety Committee, Chairman of Parks, Public Works and Planning and Economic Development. He was also the Freeholders' Liaison to the Bergen County Economic Development Corporation and the Bergen County Open Space Trust Fund.

As a member of the Board of Freeholders, Mr. Cassano was actively involved in the siting, building and funding of the new $60,000,000 Bergen County Administration Complex that was built under the aegis of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority. He was involved in the planning and implementation of the $6,000,000 Bergen County Jail renovation and rehabilitation project. Because of this experience, Mr. Cassano has an extensive background in understanding the needs of governmental entities who need to improve, relocate, consolidate or expand their space requirements. He has experience in negotiating on behalf of both landlords and tenants in the public and private sector.
