Leading Food Delivery Platform Signs 12,000 Square Foot Industrial Lease in Fair Lawn, N.J.

Fair Lawn, N.J. (August 19, 2021) – NAI James E. Hanson, the largest New Jersey-based full-service independent commercial real estate firm, announces it has negotiated a lease for 12,000 square feet of industrial space at 15-01 Pollitt Drive in Fair Lawn, N.J. NAI James E. Hanson’s Darren Lizzack and Randy Horning represented the landlord, 1501 Pollitt Drive LLC, and Cushman and Wakefield represented the tenant, DoorDash, in the transaction.

Since its founding in 2013, DoorDash has evolved from local door-to-door delivery facilitation to the largest food delivery service in the United States with one million drivers representing 450,000 merchants serving 20 million consumers in 2020 alone. Building upon its growth, DoorDash launched DashMart, a chain of virtual convenience stores equipped to deliver snacks, groceries, and other food-related products from partner businesses such as 7-Eleven, Walgreens, CVS, Wawa, and another 2,500 convenience stores to customers across the nation. Without a physical storefront, DashMart relies on well-located industrial warehouses in major metro areas suited to its storage and delivery needs.

Already open in major cities like Chicago, Dallas, and Phoenix, DoorDash’s Fair Lawn location marks DashMart’s latest fulfillment center in the New York City area. 15-01 Pollitt Drive’s unmatched proximity to existing partners and clientele will enable DoorDash to utilize the property as a storage facility to prepare items for local delivery.

15-01 Pollitt Drive is a 126,000-square-foot one-story industrial building located in the heart of Bergen County with easy access to the New York City metropolitan area via Interstate 80, Route 208 and the Garden State Parkway. DoorDash’s new space features 21’ ceilings, ample parking and a loading dock with liftgate.
