Sparta, N.J. (May 25, 2021) – NAI James E. Hanson and Berardi Development Company were joined by Sparta Mayor Christine Quinn and Sussex County Chamber of Commerce President Tammie Horsfield to celebrate the groundbreaking for a 27,000-square-foot industrial building at 6 Aaron Way in the White Lake Commerce Park in Sparta, N.J. NAI Hanson’s John Schilp has been retained by the developer, Berardi Development Company, as the exclusive listing agent for the new building.

Occupying 31.54 acres along the NYS&W freight rail line just off of Route 15, the White Lake Commerce Park is made up of 12 subdivided fully improved lots in the heart of Sussex County. Situated only 12 miles from Interstate 80 and less than one mile from Route 15, the property’s tremendous accessibility makes it ideally suited for a wide range of industrial uses.

Projected to be completed later this year, 6 Aaron Way’s modern design featuring 20’ clear ceilings, a 2nd floor mezzanine and an endlessly adaptable layout will offer a rare opportunity for companies to tap into all that the White Lake Commerce Park and Sussex County have to offer.

“We continue to see the Sussex County market showcase tremendous demand as industrial users search for spaces that can successfully blend accessibility, affordability and adaptability,” said Schilp. “This latest groundbreaking at the White Lake White Lake Commerce Park not only highlights the fantastic growth trajectory of this market but the future economic contributions of the tenants who will one day occupy this state-of-the-art space.”

Schilp was retained in 2019 to facilitate the sale of the 12 lots making up the White Lake Commerce Park. With the sale of the last lot closing last year, Schilp has now brought several developers to the White Lake Commerce Center to construct owner-occupied and spec industrial buildings ranging in size from 10,000 – 40,000 square feet. In addition, Schilp’s work has attracted several high-quality tenants to the completed buildings already open at the property.

Horsfield added, “Congratulations to Berardi Development Company on this exciting new 27,000 square foot investment located in Sparta Township’s newest industrial park – White Lake Commerce Park. We are especially excited that this new building is located in Sparta’s Economic Development Zone, a zone which will allow office, research, and industrial uses in a campus-like setting that has good access to Route 15 and the railroad.

The Township of Sparta, Sussex County Economic Development Partnership, Inc. and the Sussex County Chamber welcome this new development and look forward to its successful completion and the benefits that come with this kind of project.”

Currently, there are industrial/ flex leasing opportunities in the White Lake Commerce Park ranging from 10,000 to 27,000 square feet. For more information on land sales or leasing, please contact John J. Schilp at 973-463-1011, ext. 174 or jschilp@naihanson.com.
