Elizabeth, N.J. (July 12, 2021) – NAI James E. Hanson, the largest New Jersey-based full-service independent commercial real estate firm, announces it has negotiated the lease of a 54,000-square-foot warehouse space located at 1000 Jefferson Avenue in Elizabeth, N.J. NAI James E. Hanson’s Barry J. Cohorsky, SIOR, LJ Koch, Russell Verducci, VP, and Eric Demmers represented the landlord, Elion Partners, and Cornerstone Real Estate Group’s Eric Ladden represented the tenant, Massiano Logistics, in the transaction.

Located less than six miles from Port Newark/Elizabeth, 1000 Jefferson Avenue is an ideally located 202,000-square-foot industrial property with tremendous accessibility and proximity to major transportation arteries including Interstates 78, 95, and 287 as well as Route 9 and the Goethals Bridge. First constructed in 1948, the property was recently renovated in 2019 to feature white-box warehouse space equipped with new LED lighting and high-efficiency windows.  Sitting on over 8.6 acres of land, the property boasts 105 parking spaces and 16’ ceilings. The 54,000-square-foot warehouse Massiano Logistics will be occupying at the property includes a dedicated 0.4-acre side lot and eight loading docks well-suited to their warehousing and logistics needs.

Massiano Logistics uses proprietary technology and innovative processes to coordinate and streamline the furniture delivery process. With an experienced team and industry-leading delivery platform, Massiano Logistics can perform white-glove deliveries of unique and high-quality furniture such as living room sets, dining room sets, and bedding in as little as three to five days. Massiano’s proprietary technology provides customers with real-time tracking, delivery route optimization, and quality control, resulting in fewer order mistakes and rejections. In search of a large warehouse space able to accommodate a large inventory of products, Massiano Logistics was drawn to 1000 Jefferson’s proximity to the area’s ports, making it an ideal location to bolster their operations and will help position the firm for continued growth in the coming years.

“One of the byproducts of the COVID-19 pandemic was an accelerated surge in e-commerce,” explained Verducci. “Consequently, the demand for warehouse space has remained strong, and it has become increasingly difficult for business to well-located spaces with modern amenities. Our deep understanding of the Northern N.J. industrial market was key in helping Elion Partners find and secure a quality tenant in need of warehouse space. We are pleased to be able to help negotiate a successful deal on our client’s behalf, especially one that is reflective of the area’s strong demand.”
