Hanson, the largest New Jersey-based full-service independent commercial real estate firm, announces that four members of its leadership group, Scott Perkins, SIOR, CCIM; Christopher Todd, SIOR; Hal Messer, MSRE; and Andrew Somple, SIOR; have been named to the NAI Global 2022 Top Producers list. Comprised of brokers across seven countries and 54 markets, NAI Global’s Top Producers list highlights the achievements of the international real estate network’s premier professionals.
In his nearly 30 years at NAI James E. Hanson, Perkins has established himself at the forefront of one of the nation’s most active commercial real estate markets. Working alongside his teammates Christopher Todd, SIOR, as well as William Ericksen, CCIM, Perkins has consistently helped clients navigate the increasingly competitive northern New Jersey industrial market through a keen understanding of hyper-local market conditions and a deep roster of contacts forged over decades in the industry.
Since joining NAI James E. Hanson in 2018, Todd has entrenched himself as a much-respected member of the industry and is deeply involved with many of the industry’s professional organizations and is currently a member of Industrial and Office Real Estate Brokers Association (IOREBA), Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), Urban Land Institute and in November 2022 was appointed to the role of Secretary the New Jersey Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIORNJ).
Driven by a mix of decades of experience and a fresh perspective, Team Perkins and Todd has found success in one of the most competitive commercial real estate markets in the country with 22 transactions valued at over $200M in 2022, earning the team both individual and team honors on NAI Global’s list.
Messer has been with NAI James E. Hanson since 2001, where he assists local and national corporations with acquisitions and dispositions. Selected as a top 50 producer, Messer leveraged his deep understanding of the investment sales market to finalize transactions to a combined value of over $520M in 2022.
Additionally, Messer serves as a consultant to Columbia Property Investors, LLC, and SPC Associates, LLC, owners and managers of over 100 single-net leased investment properties throughout the country. In this role, Messer utilizes his investment sales experience to provide strategic counsel to each of the investment companies’ executive leadership. Over his career, Messer has given his time to many of the industry’s most important associations and has served as President of IOREBA and Vice President of the National Association for Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP).
Since joining the commercial real estate industry in 1989, Somple has become one of northern New Jersey’s most respected real estate brokers with an unparalleled track record for success in closing transactions across asset classes including industrial, land and office. Recognized as a top 50 producer on NAI Global’s 2022 list, Somple closed 46 transactions valued at over $85M in 2022.
During his time with NAI James E. Hanson, Somple has also received the “Most Transactions Award” from NAI James E. Hanson in 1996, 1997, 2011, 2015, 2016 and 2017, 2019 and 2022 and has also been named “Salesman of the Quarter” 30 times. In addition to his real estate experience, Somple is an active member of leading industry organizations including IOREBA, SIOR and the Meadowlands Chamber of Commerce.
