Washington, D.C. NAI James E. Hanson, the largest New Jersey-based full-service independent commercial real estate firm, announces that Scott Perkins, SIOR, CCIM, and Christopher Todd, SIOR, have won SIOR’s 2024 Top Transaction Award in the category of Largest Industrial Transaction for the $156.3M sale of a 48.7-acre industrial outdoor storage (IOS) portfolio located in Harrison and Kearny, New Jersey.

Presented annually, the SIOR Top Transaction Awards highlight the top deals from SIOR’s global network of 4,000 leading commercial real estate brokers.

“As a long-time member of SIOR, I could not be prouder to take home this highly sought-after award,” said Perkins. “Both Chris and I take great pride in our SIOR designations, and to be recognized by our colleagues highlights the strength of our partnership, the trust our clients place in us, and the continued vitality of New Jersey’s industrial market.”

Todd added, “This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication that Scott and I bring to every assignment. We’re honored to be recognized by SIOR and proud to have played a role in one of the most significant industrial transactions in New Jersey this year.”

Closing in October 2024, the deal showcased Perkins and Todd’s unique ability to leverage unparalleled market knowledge and creativity to execute complex transactions for institutional clients. Working on behalf of Ambient Capital Partners, a Chicago-based real estate investment firm, Perkins and Todd, along with their teammate William Ericksen, CCIM, assembled the off-market parcels at 310 and 505 Manor Avenue and 401 and 500 Supor Boulevard in Harrison and 129 Sanford Avenue and 433 Bergen Avenue in Kearny, to create one of the largest IOS portfolios ever sold in New Jersey.
